Welcome to the Shepherds Inn Melmerby, we are a family owned pub nestled at the bottom of Hartside in the Eden valley.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside in the picturesque fellside village of Melmerby. We offer a warm welcome, good pub food, beers and wine.
Mike is responsible for “banging the pans” ably assisted by enthusiastic local helpers… Mike has also been known to (badly) pull the odd pint or two…
Margaret looks after front of house and keeps Mike in check.
Together we’ve been in catering for many years working here ,there and everywhere. So, 3 years ago we bought the Shepherds Inn, it’s had its ups and downs in recent years but we thought it deserved the chance to get back to what it once was, friendly with simple, good quality food done consistently.
The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and very informal
We welcome dogs and children… in that order 🙂 and can provide treats for both
